I absolutely love winter engagement photos! They are so fun, so romantic, and sometimes SO cold! But the look of them is hard to beat!
Meet Kelsey and Andrew. We have been friends for quite a few years now and I knew the two of them would be getting married one day. I was so excited when they asked me to shoot their wedding in the fall!
They mentioned to me that they’d love to have their engagements in the snow. They live on a gorgeous property with a barn, some nice wooden fences and a skating rink. Perfect for winter photos!
It was bitter cold for their engagements. When I got there my car read -14 without wind chill. But that’s what lots of layers are for! The two of them looked great and I loved Kelsey’s choice of a red jacket. It really popped with the backgrounds!
Kelsey and Andrew were so much fun to shoot. Andrew had Kelsey laughing the whole time, and Kelsey had Andrew laughing the entire time too. They are seriously the perfect match for each other!
We started off around the barn for some fun shots. After about 30 minutes it started to lightly snow which was perfect! Kelsey and Andrew went and got their skates and we jumped on their pond for a little bit. I normally try to keep winter engagements to under an hour so nobody freezes, but the two of them were so much fun that we shot for almost 2 hours!
Congratulations guys 🙂
