I really do love winter engagements! You definitely need to have patience and a little luck to get some amazing photos, but when things come together they turn out beautifully!
I met Lindsay and Will back in December. They’re having their wedding in the summer of 2015 at one of my favourite places, Pipers Heath Golf Club. At our meeting they told me that they’d like to do something different and have their engagements in the snow!
Our first try at doing them didn’t work out to well. The weather had 40mph winds and was just too cold to be able to do them. Luckily our backup date worked out much better! The forecast was for snow beginning around noon, before turning into rain in the afternoon (rain during this winter?? lol).
We arrived at the Botanical Gardens in Niagara Falls for noon. Within 5 minutes it started to lightly snow, just like they were calling for!
Lindsay and Will were a tonne of fun to shoot. They had each other laughing and smiling the entire time and are a perfect match! It felt like I was shooting 2 friends that I have known for years! The two of them looked great and I loved Lindsay’s choice of the red scarf, it really added to the photos!
We are hoping to do some ice skating photos soon, which I’m sure will look amazing with these two in them!
Congratulations guys 🙂
