Meet Shannon and Steve, they had a gorgeous backyard wedding in Ridgeway at the end of August.
You might remember them from their fun ice skating engagement photos last winter.
Shannon and Steve are one of the best couples I have ever met. Sometimes it’s just obvious that two people are right for each other, and these two are the definition of that!
Our day started off at Shannon’s parents house while she and her girls got ready. The mood was relaxed but you could feel the excitement in the air as people were preparing the yard for the ceremony.
Shannon was such a gorgeous bride! The camera loves her and I took full advantage. We stayed in the house so nobody would see her and got some great candid shots. I especially love the shots of her and her mom Nancy peaking out the window as the guests were arriving.
They had a beautiful late day ceremony (my favourite!). I think the two of them were smiling the entire time.
Afterwards we took Shannon, Steve and the wedding party around the property for photos. Everybody was awesome! It was truly a celebration of two people in love and you could see that on everyone’s face.
We then took our bride and groom out for some photos of just the two of them. It was so much fun photographing them. Their both gorgeous, happy, in love AND Steve won best smile when he was in high school. Can’t go wrong with that combination!
We then headed into the tent for their reception. The food was delicious and there was some pretty great speeches too. I was able to get Shannon and Steve back outside for a few minutes during sunset where we got some more awesome photos of the two of them. I try to tell all my clients that the best light is at sunset, and whenever we can take advantage it is so worth it!
We then headed back in for a few more speeches and some great dances.
Congratulations guys 🙂
Oh, and I love weddings where I get to work with some of my favourite vendors from Niagara! Weddings Tied With Lace helped with the planning, Gala Decor with the decorating, Lush Florals with the flowers and Candy by Katie for the desert table!
